Three years of war in Ukraine

Today, a sad anniversary – three years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. An invasion that became possible because, for eight years, the world turned a blind eye to the annexation of Ukrainian territories and carried on with “business as usual.” Now, we are being forced to return to the same “business as usual,” only this time after massive missile attacks on Ukrainian cities, tens of thousands of fallen defenders and civilians. They suggest we abandon our people in the occupied territories to be devoured by the cannibals.

No, Ukrainians and Russians are not the same, as many once thought. Ukrainians were an oppressed people for centuries—one of many—while Russia was a colonial empire. For centuries, Russia has destroyed the cultures and traditions of those it conquered, trying to “reprogram” their identity. It failed with Ukrainians, so now it is trying to consume Ukraine entirely.
When I say “cannibals,” I am not exaggerating. According to official data, 12,300 civilians have been killed, nearly 600 of them children. Many of them did not die near the front lines. They were killed deep in the rear by missile strikes and drone attacks.
Those who launch missiles and drones at children’s hospitals, apartment buildings, schools, and kindergartens—they are cannibals. Those who execute prisoners—they are cannibals. Those who commit mass killings of civilians in occupied territories—they are cannibals.
Cannibals will not stop unless they are stopped. Don’t let Ukraine be fed to them—they will devour it and move on. Because for cannibals, it is never enough. There can be no negotiations behind Ukraine’s back. If peace is not just for Ukraine, if there are no security guarantees, then this so-called “peace” will last only until their next meal. And next, it will be Europe. Right now, Ukraine is holding back the aggression with its own body. Do everything possible to help Ukraine stand.
Do not feed Ukraine to the cannibals.
Europe needs a strong and free Ukraine.
Ukraine needs justice, not just peace.
And if our joint efforts are not enough, then prepare to feed the cannibals with your own children. In two days, a sad anniversary – three years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
